Rethinking “Them”
Challenging out-group stereotypes in backsliding democracies.
This project studies stereotype-prone political beliefs in polarized and backsliding democracies. It develops a method for identifying issue areas where citizens are likely to overestimate out-group extremity and tests interventions designed to correct those misperceptions.
This project is part of my dissertation.
