Welcome to my personal page!

I am a first year Ph.D. student in the Wilf Family Department of Politics at New York University. I have two MA's in Political Science (2021, Washington University in St. Louis; 2019, Koc University) and BA's in International Relations (2017, Koc University) and Economics (2017, Koc University).

My primary field is comparative politics, and I use formal theory and empirical methods to study 1) strategic voting under different political institutions and regimes, 2) electoral accountability, corruption, & democratic backsliding and 3) protests & social movements. You can learn more about my research interests under Research Interests. You can also find my published work and working papers under Publications and CV.
